Late Activist Dolan To Be Honored With Library Plaque

New wing of Kew Gardens library will be dedicated in her honor next month.

The Queens Library will host an event next month to honor the life and work of late activist Pat Dolan, who was in November.

On Feb. 15, Queens Borough President Helen Marshall and the Kew Gardens Hills Civic Association will share their memories of working with Dolan, a long-time Queens activist and library champion, and dedicate a plaque to her.

The event will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Kew Gardens Hills chapter of the Queens Library, located at 72-33 Vleigh Place.

Dolan died at age 72 after being struck by a car on Nov. 15. The activist, who was president of the Queens Civic Congress, had been on her way to a transportation meeting at the time of the accident.
