In Forest Hills: Self-Defense Seminar

Event open to women 13 and older.

Wednesday night in Forest Hills, City Councilman Forest Hills will host a free self-defense seminar for women and seniors in the area.

The event is part of a multi-facted effort on the part of the councilwoman to defend against a spate of sexual assaults in the area earlier this summer.

Koslowitz also at the 71st-Continental Ave. subway station in June with a group of legislators.

The self-defense seminar will be hosted at the at 106-06 Queens Blvd., will be open to women 13 years of age and older. It will run from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The event comes fresh on the heels of the National Night Out Against Crime, hosted by the 112 Precinct in the same location.
