Hey Google, You Misspelled MacDonald Park

Those folks are usually pretty smart, but they've made a hash of this.

So our question of the week on Monday has led us to an interesting discovery: Google, the search engine that controls our lives online, has misspelled the name of one of Forest Hills' most iconic parks.

MacDonald Park, located on Queens Bouelvard at Yellowstone Boulevard, was named for decorated World War I hero Gerald MacDonald, and its prominent feature is a statue of his likeness.

According to the Google hive-mind, however, MacDonald Park is "McDonald Park." As in "McDonald's," the fast food restaurant that controls the world's supply of calorie-intensive value meals.

So is there a difference, just in that little "a?" Maybe not. The two come from the same Scottish surname, according to ancestry.com, and all trace their roots back to Clan Donald, also unsurprisingly Scottish.
