Hevesi Pitches In During Blood Drive

During blood donation month, local leaders urge participation.

January is National Blood Donation month, and drives across the country are stepping up their efforts to save lives.

Forest Hills is no different, and Assemblyman Andrew Hevesi, for one, is leading by example, with the help of fellow Forest Hills legislators.  Hevesi visited with Councilwoman Karen Koslowitz and state Sen. Toby Stavisky

“Donating blood is one of the simplest and quickest forms of community service,” Hevesi said. “Your contribution can save up to 3 lives. If there is a blood drive near your work, you can likely be finished donating before your lunch hour is up, so it’s a convenient way to perform a phenomenal and greatly needed civic duty.”
