Hanukkah Highlights in Forest Hills

What's happening for Hanukkah this year?

With the lighting of the first candle tonight, Hanukkah will begin. In Forest Hills, there are many places to celebrate the Festival of Lights. Here are just a few events that are happening over the next week around the community.

Candle Lighting Ceremony, First Night

, 6 p.m., Tuesday Dec. 20.

Rabbi Skolnik and Hazzan Rosenblum will light the first candle with song, latkes and storytelling.

Community Menorah Lighting

, 6 p.m.

The staff of the Reform Temple will conduct the ceremony outside.

Young Israel of Forest Hills Hanukkah Spectacular

, 7 p.m., Monday Dec. 26.

Open to the entire community, this party will include traditional fare and more.

Children’s Hanukkah Party

, 7 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 24.

The party will include games, food, face-painting and more.
