Grab & Go Kids Planner: Mother's Day Weekend Edition

Spend some quality time together on Mother's Day weekend with these great activities.

It’s getting warm out there and it is time for the sheep at the Queens Zoo to shed there wooly coats. Kids will love to watch as they get their annual haircuts, as well as participate in wool-processing demonstrations, watch spinning and dyeing techniques and create sheep puppet arts and crafts. The Queens Museum of Art presents Watershed Adventures, a exciting tour for families into the intricate and fascinating underground world of tunnels and reservoirs that bring the over 8 million people in NYC water everyday. If you are still looking for a great gift for mom this Mother’s Day, stop into The Plaster Party Place to make mom something special. Kids can paint beautiful plaster keepsakes for mom that she will love all while having a great activity this weekend. Spend the day at the incredible Science Playground at the New York Hall of Science. With everything from slides to sand pits, kids will love playing at this outdoor adventure spot, all while learning the basic principles of science. For more information visit Science Playground. Also, the Mini Golf Rocket Park is opened!  The whole family will have fun at the beautiful and colorful outdoor course while overlooking the museums Rocket Park. Hoodwinked Too!  Hood Vs. Evil, the follow-up Hoodwinked, is playing at the United Artists Midway Stadium. This family friendly tale, which originally told us the story of Little Red Riding Hood, is back as Red springs into action to save her beloved Granny. Rated PG.
