Grab & Go Kids Planner: Memorial Day Weekend Edition

Observe Memorial Day and kick off summer with some great local events.

The Annual Forest Hills Memorial Day Parade
May 29, 12:00 p.m.
Come out with the family to enjoy this wonderful, local parade.  The parade route begins on Metropolitan and Ascan Avenue and will move west along Metropolitan. The parade is sponsored by the American Legion Continental Post 1424.

The Annual Little Neck/Douglaston Memorial Day Parade
May 30, 2:00 p.m.
The largest parade in the borough, the route begins at Lakeville Road and Northern Boulevard, in Great Neck and runs down Northern Boulevard to 244th street in Little Neck.  Local politicians, the media and local heroes are always a part of this annual parade and celebration.

The Big Apple Circus/Dance On!
Various show times throughout the holiday weekend
Cunningham Park
Kids of all ages will love this hometown, one ring circus where all the daring acts, animals and clowns are only feet away.  A true treat for the entire family.  For all more information and tickets visit The Big Apple Circus.

Mets Games/Citi Field
Fri, 7:00 p.m; Sat, 7:00 p.m., Sun, 1:00 p.m.; Mon, 7:00 p.m.  There is nothing better than a baseball game on Memorial Day weekend.  Visit Mets Games for ticketing and stadium tour information all weekend long.  Let's go Mets!

Flushing Meadows Corona Park
BBQs/Sports
If you are planning to spend the weekend relaxing around town, bring a blanket and some friends to Flushing Meadows.  Barbeques and organized sports are encouraged, but permits are required. Visit Flushing Meadows to find out all information to ensure a great celebration for all.
