Gas System Upgrade to Limit Austin Street Parking for Two Months

National Grid has undertaken a construction project along the Forest Hills commercial strip.

The number of available parking spaces along Austin Street between 71st Road and 72nd Avenue will be slightly decreased for the next two months to allow for a gas system upgrade.

National Grid will be working on a gas system construction project along the commercial strip that is expected to be completed by Oct. 16.

The upgrade, which began in July, is taking place in front of Cheese of the World and Jacklyn's Boutique.
