Forest Hills to Get 39 New Bicycle Racks

As many as 39 racks will be set up along three streets in the community.

Forest Hills and Rego Park is getting 39 new bicycle parking racks, a city Department of Transportation spokesman said.

The DOT has been placing the racks along Yellowstone Boulevard, Austin Street and 63rd Drive.

"The DOT had proposed a set of bike rack installations to Community Board 6, most of which were recommended by adjacent business owners, employees or other locals," the DOT spokesman said. "Following a supportive response from the board, 39 racks have been installed in recent weeks."
