Forest Hills Rabbi Earns Nationwide Post: Report

Forest Hills Jewish Center's Skolnik to head Rabbinical Assembly.

Rabbi Gerald Skolnik, of the Forest Hills Jewish Center, was elected president of the Rabbinical Assembly of Conservative Rabbis this week, according to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency.

Skolnik, who has spent nearly three decades in his leadership post at FHJC, told the assembled rabbis that he was thrilled with his election, after serving as vice president of the organization.

"I am honored and humbled to assume the presidency of the RA at this critical juncture for the Conservative movement," Skolnik said, according to JTA.

Skolnik has served in numerous organizations in New York and around the country during his tenure in Forest Hills.
