The Forest Hills Library will host three events in September that run the gamut from popular American classic songs and opera arias to a live streaming of a Lincoln Center ballet performance.
On Sept. 7, the library will host a concert by Sean Mahoney and Phyllis Lynd, who will sing classics and popular songs by Victor Herbert, Cole Porter, Leonard Cohen and Train.
The show will begin at 2:30 p.m.
The library will hold an evening of opera arias and Israeli and Russian songs featuring soprano Alexandra Falkovski on Sept. 24 at 5:30 p.m.
Falkovski, who was born in Ukraine and migrated to Israel in 2002, will perform Marfa’s aria from the “Tzar’s Bride,” “Meine Lippen,” “Summertime” from “Porgy and Bess” and the Hebrew song “What Say Your Eyes,” among others.
On Sept. 28, the library will live stream a Lincoln Center performance of “Ballets with a Twist.” The show, which will take place at the David Rubenstein Atrium, will be streamed at numerous Queens libraries, including the Forest Hills branch, at 2:30 p.m.
The Forest Hills Library is located at 108-19 71st Ave.
