Central Queens Y to Host Winter Break Mini Camp for Local Youths

Activities will include a screening of 'The LEGO Movie' and laser tag.

Forest Hills’ Central Queens Y will hold a mid-winter break mini-camp for local youths between Feb. 17 and 21 that will include everything from a movie screening to laser tag.

The Y, located at 67-09 108th St., will kick off the camp on Feb. 17 with swimming, gym and clubs and a visit from live TV show “Brain Challenge.” Attendees should bring a bathing suit, towel and swim cap.

On Feb. 18, campers will go bowling and watch “The LEGO Movie” and, on Feb. 19, they will travel to the New Victory Theater for Bob Marley’s “Three Little Birds.”

The camp will visit Bounce Trampoline on Feb. 20. Children should arrive between 8 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. The bus will leave at 8:45 a.m.

And Feb. 21’s activities include swimming, gym time, laser tag, a game truck and a magician. Attendees should bring a bathing suit, towel and swim cap.

Drop off for the camp is at 9 a.m. – with the exception of Feb. 20 – and pick up is at 5 p.m.

There is a $2 fee for early arrival (8 a.m. to 9 a.m.) or late stay (5 p.m. to 6 p.m.).

Parents should pack a lunch and beverage for their child every day of the camp.

The fee to attend is $55 for after school participants or Y members and $60 for nonmembers.
