Central Queens Y to Host Two Children's Activities This Week

The Y will offer a gym play day on Sept. 11 and a family festival on Sept. 15.

The Central Queens Y is hosting two events for children this week, including a family festival and a play gym day.

On Sept. 11, the Y will allow for toddlers between the ages of 6 and 36 months to explore its play area while parents meet teachers from Tiny Tumblers, Gym Explorers and Gym Adventures programs.

The open house, which runs from 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., will allow children and their parents to sample a free class. For more information, call Dale Stark at 718-268-5011, ext. 501.

The Y will host its annual fall family festival and summer camp reunion on Sept. 15 from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The event, which will be held in the parking lot on 108th Street between 68th Avenue and 68th Road, includes a bouncy house, treats for children, crafts and other entertainment.

Registration fees will be waived for those who sign up to be a Y member upon arrival. Otherwise, admission will be $5 per child over the age of 2 years. The maximum cost is $15 per family. Adults will get in free.

Kosher food will be offered for sale during the festival.

The Central Queens Y is located at 67-09 108th St. in Forest Hills.
