Central Queens Y to Host MLK Day Mini Camp

Program will include a movie screening, swimming and gym activities.

The Central Queens Y will host a mini day camp, which includes a movie and other activities, for local youths on Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday next week.

The Y, located at 67-09 108th St. in Forest Hills, will run the camp from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Jan. 20.

The day will include a trip to the movies for a screening of the new animated film "The Nut Job" as well as swimming, play time in the gym and other activities.

Attendees who plan to swim should bring a bathing suit and towel.

The program will cost $55 for members of the Y's after school program and $60 for nonmembers.

There will be a $2 fee for children who take part in the day's early stay program, which runs from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., or late stay, which is from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
