Central Queens Y to Host Columbus Day Mini Camp

Local children will be able to see "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2" and go bowling.

Forest Hills’ Central Queens Y will offer a Columbus Day mini camp for local schoolchildren that will include a movie and bowling.

The Y, located at 67-09 108th St., is now signing up children in kindergarten through sixth grade to take part in the camp, which will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Oct. 14.

Attendees will see a screening of “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2” and go bowling.

The mini camp will be $55 for participants in the Y’s after school programs and $60 for nonmembers.

Parents can pay an extra $2 if they need to drop their children off for early stay, which runs from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., or late stay, which is from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
