The Central Queens Y has been nominated in a local newspaper’s competition for two programs it offers to Forest Hills residents.
The Y, located at 67-09 108th St., received nods in two categories in the Queens Courier’s Best of the Boro awards, including Best Afterschool Program and Best Camp.
Fans of the Y can vote in the poll every day through Sept. 12 on the Courier’s website.
On Sept. 15, the Y will host a fall family festival from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. It will include a bouncy house, treats and crafts for children, entertainment and kosher food.
The event is $5 per child over age 2 years and a $15 maximum for families.
Also, the Y will be closed on Labor Day and open on Sept. 1, although no classes will be held that day.
