Alternate Side Parking Suspended for Sept. 5 and 6

Drivers will not need to move their cars as the city celebrates Rosh Hashanah.

Alternate side parking has been suspended for Sept. 5 and 6 in observance of Rosh Hashanah, according to the city's Department of Transportation.

There will be no street cleaning, so it will not be necessary for car owners in the five boroughs to move their vehicles. Parking meters will remain in effect on the holiday.

For more information and to view 2013's alternate side parking cancellation days, visit the DOT's website.
