Alternate Side Parking Suspended for Nov. 1, 3
Drivers will not need to move their cars on All Saints Day or Diwali.
Alternate side parking has been suspended for Nov. 1 and 3 in observance of All Saints Day and Diwali.
There will be no street cleaning, so it will not be necessary for car owners in the five boroughs to move their vehicles. Parking meters will remain in effect on the holiday.
All Saints Day is a Christian celebration that honors those who have receive the beatific vision of heaven, while Diwali is the Hindu festival of lights.
