A Trip Back In Time With The Church in the Gardens

Hundred-year-old house of worship reenacting first service in Station Square.

Local history buffs rejoice!

Station Square, which already has an anachronistic feel in the heart of New York City, will play host to a 100-year-old church service on Sunday, Oct. 21. The event will be a celebration of the upcoming centennial of The Church in the Gardens on Ascan Avenue.

The service will be a reenactment of the church's first worship service, which was held in Station Square 100 years ago.

The service is open to the public, and attendees are encouraged to dress in period-approriate clothing, if they wish.

In the event of rain, the service will be moved to 15 Borage Place, The Community House.
