Wednesday: Singles Event at the Y, Chess Club at the Library

The Central Queens Y, located at 67-09 108th St., is hosting a singles event today for persons 45 years and above at 7 p.m.
The event is free for Y members and $5 for nonmembers. To register, call 718-268-5011, ext. 160.
Forest Hills' Barnes & Noble, located at 70-00 Austin St., is offering its children's story time event today at 10:30 a.m.
Attendees will be able to listen to an age appropriate story and take part in other activities.
And the Forest Hills Library, located at 108-19 71st Ave., is holding its chess club at 3 p.m.
