Wednesday: 112th Precinct Council Blood Drive, Monthly Jazz Jam

The 112th Community Council will hold a blood drive on Jan. 8 from noon to 6 p.m. at the precinct, located at 68-40 Austin St. in Forest Hills.

Flushing Town Hall, located at 137-35 Northern Blvd., is holding its monthly jazz jam at 7 p.m. The entrance fee is $10, but the event is free for musicians, students and members.
Professional jazz musicians, graduate students and educators are welcome to join in the jazz jam with house band Queens Jazz OverGround or just listen.
And Forest Hills' Barnes & Noble, located at 70-00 Austin St., will offer its weekly children's storytime program at 10:30 a.m. The event includes an age appropriate story and other activities.
