Thursday: Trip to YIVO, Early Literacy Class for Preschoolers

The Central Queens Y, located at 67-09 108th St., will lead a visit to YIVO today to view Yiddish books, newspapers and publications, including one from the Vilna Ghetto, that were saved from Europe.
The event, which runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., will also include lunch in Chelsea. For more information, call 718-268-5011, ext. 151.
The Forest Hills Library, located at 108-19 71st Ave., will host Picture Books for Preschoolers at 3:30 p.m.
Children between the ages of 3 and 5 years will be able to socialize and develop early literacy skills through songs, stories, rhymes, finger plays and movement activities. Preregistration is required.
