Woman Found Hanged In Forest Hills Subway Station

Victim in her 20's, possibly homeless, according to police.

A 20-year-old woman was found dead in the women’s restroom at the on Monday afternoon, according to police.

The woman, who has yet to be identified, was found by a commuter who went into the women’s restroom on the plaza level of the station at around 2:45 p.m. Monday afternoon.

Emergency Medical personnel arrived shortly after and pronounced the young woman dead at the scene.

said they have not been able to identify the victim, who was hanging from a water pipe in the bathroom by a rope.  Investigators so far have been unable to find an address, or to locate possible family members, and said the victim might be homeless.

Workers in the station, including a stand vendor, said police had cordoned off the scene in the restroom shortly after the body was found.
