Pics of the Day: Happy Anniversary

The marquee don't lie.

Midway Theater on Queens Boulevard celebrated its 70th Anniversary on Monday with a screening of Alfred Hitchcock's Rear Window.

The movie played to a packed house with a lot of big Hitchcock fans. At $10 a ticket with proceeds benefitting charity, the event nearly sold out the theater.

Organizer Stephen Melnick said over 180 people were in attendance. Melnick added that a monthly screening of classic films was floated at the end of the show.
