Man, 60, Shoots Self at Forest Hills LIRR Stop

The incident is the second suicide at the station since the start of summer.

Police have confirmed that a 60-year-old man shot and killed himself in the Tuesday night. 

The victim, who has yet to be identified, entered the station and shot himself Tuesday evening, according to police. So far, investigators have not released information on where the body was found in the station.

The incident is the second time in less than five weeks that someone has committed suicide at the Forest Hills LIRR stop.

On May 29, The incident was also classified as a suicide by police.

Train service has been disrupted at the station and there is no information as to when it is likely to be restored.
