Chipotle Set to Open Wednesday

First Queens location of chain burrito dealer ready to roll on Austin Street.

Ladies and gentlemen, loosen your wastebands.

The long-awaited day is finally at hand. Chipotle, the burrito-slinging restaurant with absolutely no locations in Queens is set to open on Wednesday, Jan. 30. 

The restaurant has taken over the former location of Martha's Country Bakery, which moved next door late last year.

The Austin Street spot is prime eatery real estate, with Restaurant Row (70th Road) just steps away. 

Chipotle will join a handful of distinguished Mexican restaurants on Austin Street, including 5 Burro Cafe and Garcia's.

The restaurant chain has nearly two dozen locations in Manhattan and one in Brooklyn. Austin Street's outlet will be the first in Queens.
