Anthony Weiner: Forest Hills Resident No More?

Former Congressman has sold his Ascan Avenue apartment, according to a report in the New York Post.

Former Congressman Anthony Weiner and wife Huma Abedin have sold the Ascan Avenue apartment they shared in Forest Hills Gardens, according to a report published Friday in the New York Post.

The apartment became familiar to many Gardens residents during the sexting scandal that claimed Weiner’s career. Every day for weeks, news vans, photographers and reporters staked out the apartment building, waiting for the representative to emerge.

The apartment was 875 square feet, with multiple bedrooms, and is indeed currently under contract according to a Madeline Realty representative who spoke with the Post.

The home was on the market before the scandal broke, but its listing was pulled shortly after the scandal caught fire in the media.

Speculation was rampant about the reason from the home’s sale, but with Abedin now several months pregnant, the pair may be looking for a larger place to put down family roots.
